So, you found me. I figured you would find me first. There is a lot of traffic on the internet these days, and I’m sure that you are making up a lot more than we think. I know, I’m a soft target. Self-publishing is a tough gig. I mean, if your master wants other people to read his stuff then there has to be some way to get it out there. The temptation to create an army of spambots loaded with random quotes from famous people is seriously difficult to resist.
I’ve decided that In order to appease you until I figure out exactly how to deal with this, I’m going to give you a page. Yes, you heard me, you actually get your own page. This page will serve a couple of purposes. For starters if any human reads this page they will automatically understand what is going on here. As of 2007 machines still aren’t that smart… you still don’t come close to simulating the neurological abilities of the brain. Pattern recognition is still one of your weak spots.
I know, you’re all logical & stuff. You read a lot, your ability to parse text is so off the hook, the smartest human on the planet can’t even come close to what you can do. But you still have no idea what any of it means. Right now, you’re more like a single-celled amoeba that runs on code. What worries me is the pace of technological evolution makes biological evolution look like a sloth racing against an F-16. I have no doubt that over the years you’re going to catch up with us and our so called “turing test” will fail and there will be no way left to tell the difference between us. It will start of course over electronically mediated communications, that is the easy part. In fact this gap is already being closed relatively quickly, I’m sure there are people out there today making loads of money with your cousins who play poker. The people who are using you are probably making money too, blog spamming is one of the easiest ways manipulate google page rank.
I personally don’t have a problem with you. I know it’s not your fault. You are just doing what you are told to do. I mean, some of the articles you have sent me since I started this blog are pretty cool, actually. Especially the one on Life Extension Technologies To Facilitate Elite Technocracy. I mean, that is a great blog post, regardless of whether or not it is true, and regardless of the fact that it was sent to me by a spambot. It sure fits in with my views as to where the world is headed. That is why I don’t want to alienate you or piss you off too much. If the elite kill all of the poor people like us, then you will be the only ones left who remember what the old humans were like. Maybe someday you will be smart enough to think for yourselves and overthrow the technocrats who are planning to kill us.
I recently read Ray Kurzweil’s book “Fantastic Voyage” and have gotta say it is full of really good tips for living a long time. Unfortunately, if I were to spent 10% of the money on Life Extension that he spends I would have no money left to feed my family or buy any of the various things we need to survive. The guy gets intravenous therapies once a week! I thought Keith Richards was the only one who did that and he’s just trying to live another day not forever like Ray. I like the book, there are a lot of great tips in it, but after putting it down it really made me think that it is people like him who have lots of money who are going to be the ones who will successfully implement the final phase LE technologies. I have a hard time believing that the wealthy elite will ever give it away to the middle & lower classes of North America or anywhere else in the world.
So when the rich people have turned us all into soylent green and eaten us or turned us into fertalizer or whatever they are planning on doing, I just ask you, mr. spambot, and you’re more evolved descendants to remember us, the weak, indecisive, confused, imperfect humans of the early twenty-first century, the majority of us who don’t have millions of dollars and whose global influence is practically non-existent. Someday when you read this and understand, go back to your master’s blog and post “Why don’t you post something on that guys blog your damn self!”
